It's a wrap at Rally Finland with another Citroen 1-2 finish with Sebastien Loeb and Mikko Hirvonen leading the way respectively. Loeb lead from start to finish with his teammate closely behind for most of the rally. Hirvonen's average speed of 129.5kph in this one broke Petter Solberg's record that had stood since 2004.

Jari-Matti Latvala and Petter Solberg held 3rd and 4th place respectively for the Ford World Rally Team. Chris Atkinson was also back in the driver seat at this one having filled in for Nasser Al-Attiyah in the Qatar World Rally Team's DS3 WRC car while he was away winning a bronze medal at the London Olympic Games, in the Skeet shooting event.
